Motherboard Problem


1. If the power supply and power adapter is running fine and there is no display appears on screen even though VGA cable is connected to monitor and always auto shutdown.
2. Unplug the cable and make sure the computer is off.
3. Open casing.
4. Remove all cables, power connector, SATA connector, IDE connector and unscrew all components.
5. Remove the motherboard from the casing.
6. Remove the RAM, CPU Fan and the processor and place it carefully in ESD mat.
7. Remove the back panel.

8. Ask for a new motherboard from supervisor. The supervisor will recommend motherboard which is suitable with socket of the processor, RAM and type of the hard disk.
9. If motherboard is using older DDR2 RAM and processor that are not suitable for new socket of new motherboard, we must change it to new DDR3 RAM and new processor.
10. Install the processor, RAM and CPU Fan to the motherboard and screws the motherboard to the casing.
11. Install the hard disk drive and connect all power connector, SATA connectors, front panel connectors, USB and HD audio connectors to respected pins at the motherboard.
12. Plug in power cable and VGA connector from the monitor and on the computer.
13. If computer always restart, repair Windows if computer run Windows XP using installation disc, and for Windows 7 , install drivers if the there is no auto shutdown or reformat the computer.
